This one of a kind copper and 24K gold wall piece is an expression of my love of nature, and especially of herons. After many drawings and designs, I prepare a 16 gauge copper plate and add the gold leaf to create the imagery. When the image is complete, I create a flame patina with my torch. The copper changes color,, but gold is non-reactive, creating the incredible "paintings". The piece is pacquered to protect the gold and the patina. Each piece is float framed with museum quality products. This piece measures 9" x12" framed.
